About María Linares

Composer, Singer, Sound Therapist, and Cultural Manager

María Linares is a composer, singer, sound therapist, and cultural manager. She is the founder of Fiona Records, a record label dedicated to creating original music for film, series, television, and documentaries. Her work has scored productions for major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Nickelodeon across Latin America and the United States.

In 2025, she was nominated for two Macondo Awards: Best Original Score for Matrioshka (dir. Jorge Forero) and Best Original Song for “Colibrí,” created in collaboration with Andrés Soto.

In 2025, she expanded her exploration of sound as a healing modality by completing her training as a sound therapist in the Auster Sound Method, under the guidance of renowned expert Sara Auster. Since then, she has integrated this practice into her artistic and personal career, facilitating group sound experiences focused on wellness and mindfulness across Bogotá, New York, and Madrid, in venues such as Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, among others.

Her compositions have been performed by prominent ensembles including the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, the EAFIT Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Fames Orchestra (Macedonia), solidifying her presence in the contemporary symphonic and audiovisual landscapes.
